The Spanish Club meets to talk about various subjects related to the Spanish language and culture. We play games such as Spanish Pictionary and Spanish hangman, learn dances, such as salsa, and of course bring food to celebrate fiestas such as El Dia los Muertos y Cinco de Mayo.
Each year the Spanish Club goes on one or more field trips to see a play, such as Don Quixote or watch Latino dancers perform. Naturally each trip includes a stop at a local Mexican restaurant. Students of Spanish may join the club. Members do service projects aimed to bring awareness of the Spanish culture to the community. Meetings are on the 3rd Wednesday during Activity Period in C-12.
In addition, if you meet certain strict requirements you may be considered for the Spanish Honor Society which started in 2006. Membership is considered after the end of the first semester of Spanish III. It is a nationally recognized organization.
