The Red Cross Club is a service organization affiliated with the American Red Cross. We encourage a lifetime of volunteerism for the Red Cross! Membership is open during September and October, and any student not on academic probation may join. We require five Red Cross service hours during the year. Service opportunities include making care kits, working at community health fairs, helping with the annual Red Cross fundraiser, and volunteering at the Red Cross Office.
With the $10 membership fee, students receive a t-shirt and may sign up for any of the training courses offered. A unique part of this club is the Disaster Relief Team. In order to qualify, students take First Aid, CPR, and Introduction to Disaster Relief. This team is on call for the nine parish area that our local Red Cross serves.
