Accolades

Caddo Magnet High is a college preparatory school for academics and performing arts. We are one of the top high schools in the United States and are nationally recognized by U.S. News and World Report as a Silver Medal winner (in the top 3% of high schools) and by the U.S. Department of Education as a Blue Ribbon School (for academic superiority). We are the only 5 star high school in northern Louisiana.

U.S. News & World Report named 31 Louisiana high schools among "America's Best High Schools."  Caddo Magnet was recognized with a silver medal ranking for the third consecutive year.  This award is based on their college readiness index, which measures the extent to which students are exposed to and master some college-level material while in high school.  Only five Louisiana high schools earned silver medals, and Caddo Magnet is the only one of those in north Louisiana.

The Siemens Competition in Math, Science & Technology recognizes remarkable talent early on, fostering individual growth for high school students who are willing to challenge themselves through science research.  There were 2,151 entrants from the entirety of the United States in the fall of 2009, and 318 students were awarded semi-finalist status.  Among those 318 students were three of our own:  Dante' Johnson, Anvesh Kompelli, and Kaitlin McCarthy.
